We are pleased to announce that our association has received funding to produce and publish a book entitled Forty Reasons to Visit the Lubuskie Military Museum on its 40th Anniversary.

In 2025, the Lubuskie Military Museum will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its independent operation. This is an excellent opportunity to publish a book promoting the activities of this municipal cultural institution.

The museum, situated within a beautiful park and palace complex, houses one of the country’s leading collections of heavy military equipment, including many unique items. The palace houses renovated and modern permanent exhibitions open to the public. It also runs a wide range of cultural, conservation, outreach, exhibition and educational activities, and organises extremely popular historical picnics and museum nights.

And we will write about all this in a publication entitled “Forty reasons to visit the Lubuskie Military Museum on the occasion of its fortieth anniversary”. The forty reasons to visit mentioned in the title will consist of shorter and longer articles on the most interesting exhibits and the history of the museum, promoting its activities. There will also be an article describing local attractions.

All this is intended to encourage military tourism and visits to the Museum and other military attractions in the Lubuskie region. The preparation of materials and photographs to illustrate them will be commissioned from former and current specialist staff of the Museum, friends of the Museum, and representatives of institutions collaborating with the Museum.

The book will be published this year and distributed in 2025. The planned print run is 500 copies.

The project will be co-financed by the Lubuskie Province and the City of Zielona Góra.
