The Friends of the Lubuskie Military Museum Society was entered in the National Court Register on 14 August 2014.
The founding meeting took place on 11 April 2014 in the museum’s Knights’ Hall.
At that time, a management board was elected, headed by: President Dr Włodzimierz Kwaśniewicz and Vice-President Colonel Jerzy Rzeźnik.

activities aimed at preserving cultural heritage, with a particular focus on military heritage,
promoting culture, the arts, the preservation of cultural heritage and military history
