Museum lessons

Museum lessons at the Lubuskie Military Museum offer an engaging way for schools and organised groups to learn about history. The sessions take place within the museum and combine historical narratives with hands-on interaction with authentic exhibits. The programme includes a tour of the exhibitions in the palace and the pavilion, supplemented by multimedia materials on selected topics.

The programme includes lessons tailored to the age of the participants, covering topics from Polish history, the history of the military, art and the architecture of the region.

Topics of the museum lessons:

  • September 1939,
  • Polish soldiers on the fronts of the Second World War,
  • The history of Poland in painting
  • Jan Matejko’s ‘The Battle of Grunwald’,
  • Architectural monuments in the Lubusz region,
  • The development of weaponry for jet fighter aircraft in Poland.

Educational art workshop: ‘What do we know about the Battle of Warsaw?’

The workshops are an innovative combination of a ‘living history’ lesson with art activities. Participants learn about the history and significance of the Battle of Warsaw (1920) and discover the collage technique. The workshop concludes with the creation of their own collage under the guidance and with the help of the instructor. The workshops are accompanied by multimedia presentations. We provide all art materials.
