We have now completed the project entitled “Restoring the Historic Field Kitchen”, initiated by a group of volunteers operating under the patronage of the Friends of the Lubuskie Military Museum. We began the project on 15 June 2024
As part of the project, we carried out conservation work on the historic KP-340 field kitchen – an exhibit from the collection of the Lubuskie Military Museum in Drzonów, which forms part of the local historical and cultural heritage.
Thanks to the renovation, the kitchen will not only look its best but will also enhance museum and local cultural events.
As part of the project, a series of meetings were held with volunteers who carried out the following renovation work:
dismantling the exhibit into its component parts, reassembling the exhibit, replenishing the equipment, and producing photographic and drawing documentation of individual elements.
The volunteers recorded their work in the volunteer management system.
The project, entitled “We will restore the historic field kitchen”, was funded by the National Institute of Freedom – Centre for the Development of Civil Society as part of the Government’s NOWEFIO Social Initiatives Fund Programme for the years 2021–2030.
