Information on the appeals procedure
Everyone has the right to request that a website or any part of it be made digitally accessible. You may also request that information be made available via an alternative access method, for example by having a digitally inaccessible document read aloud, or by providing a description of the content of a video without audio description, etc. The request should include the details of the person making the request, specify which website or exactly which element of it is concerned, and provide contact details. If the person making the request indicates a need to receive information via an alternative access method, they should also specify the manner in which they would prefer the information to be presented. The public body should comply with the request without delay, no later than within 7 days of the date the request was made (following confirmation of its receipt). If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public body shall immediately inform the person making the request of when the request can be fulfilled, provided that this period does not exceed 2 months from the date the request was made. If ensuring digital accessibility is not possible, the public body may propose an alternative means of accessing the information. If the public body refuses to comply with the request to ensure accessibility or provide an alternative means of accessing the information, the person making the request may lodge a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of the website, mobile application or element of the website or mobile application. Once the above procedure has been exhausted, a complaint may also be lodged with the Ombudsman.
