On Saturday 13 December 2025, an educational event as part of the ‘Museum Academy of Knowledge’ series was held in the Knights’ Hall of the Lubuskie Military Museum in Zielona Góra. The event was dedicated to the history and achievements of Lieutenant General Kazimierz Sosnkowski, who was declared the patron of the year 2025 by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.

Dr Zdzisław Kościański – Vice-President of the Wielkopolska Uprising Memorial Society – delivered a lecture to the assembled audience outlining the General’s life story, with particular emphasis on the Wielkopolska aspects of his life. Next, Mr Maciej Myczka – president of the Military History Enthusiasts’ Association, which operates at the Drzonów museum – presented the general’s uniform, along with the decorations he wore.
